About

The CMU Women's Club Hockey Team was established in 2008.  Since then, we have been a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division II.  Along with participating in our own league, scrimmages are scheduled with teams in other programs as well.  During the season, we are on the ice practicing two days a week and also including training off-ice once a week. Games are on the weekends and may require travel on Fridays.

We are a competitive team that takes each practice and game seriously, yet we still have fun.  We strive to build a team that is also a family.  Our program is dedicated to constructing strong leaders on and off the ice.

Prospective Players:

If you are a current CMU student or are interested in being recruited by our program, please fill out a recruitment form under the recruitment tab and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Email us at cmuwomensclubhockey@hotmail.com or live chat with us for any questions about our program or school. We do try and have a recruiter attend various Michigan based tournaments. Let us know if you want us to evaluate and speak to you individually.

Important Information:

We are a player pay to play program. Ice bills vary each year but they cover ice time, conference/league dues, uniforms, referees in addition to transportation, and lodging.  Meals are not covered by the team for away games. Players are responsible for supplying their own hockey equipment.

We pride ourselves on the term "student-athlete" meaning that being a student comes first.  Athletes are required to maintain a minimum of 2.5 GPA or disciplinary action will be taken.  To make sure our student-athletes stay on track, study hours are required and progress reports must be submitted to coaches at mid-terms through each semester and again at the end of each semester.
